EMPLOYER NATIONAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTION
It is necessary for employers to pay National Insurance contributions for all employees subject to the limits detailed below:

Up to the threshold shown above no Employers National Insurance Contributions are due.
The Employers National Insurance is calculated on the earnings above the threshold.
Pensions
An employer is required to pay National Insurance contributions on employees who are above the statutory retirement age.
NB
For the years 1998/99 and earlier the percentage rate of employers National Insurance contributions is graduated between earnings of £64 per week and £485 per week. Over £485 per week employers National Insurance contributions are at 10%.
